The Grant County Historical Society believes that…”It is important to know where we have been to know where we are going…”  Our mission is to collect, preserve, explain and share the history of people, life and events of Grant County.

Our collections cover prehistoric times to the present with the pioneer days of the 1880s through WWII especially well represented.  Our Veterans Memorial Hall displays our military exhibits and also serves as the meeting space for our local American Legion post.  Our archives include all available county newspapers, thousands of photos, history books, plat books, church and cemetery records and family files.
